Moiré Shoulder Bag

Moiré Shoulder Bag Pattern in Happily Hooked MagazineI loved combining the different stitches to create the unique look of this Moiré Shoulder Bag. I knew I wanted to use the Houndstooth stitch for a purse design, but it needed something to set it apart from similar patterns. I think the SatinSwank Pillowcasebold print created by the ripples does just that.

I actually got the inspiration for this design from this gorgeous satin pillowcase that I saw on Etsy. The shop owner, Kathryn, makes these pillowcases by hand in a wide range of beautiful, eye-catching prints and color combinations. She’s also a very kind person and a pleasure to deal with.
